Balmoral Beach Playground is located at the south end of Balmoral Esplanade.

There are a number of different pieces of play equipment designed to cater for different ages, including:

large climbing net for older children
modular deck structure with slide and fire mans pole – access via incline climbing wall
set of five swings arranged in hexagon structure
pirate ship – great for imaginative role play
see-saw

Unfortunately they haven’t quite got the design of this playground right, with lots of challenging pieces which makes it very difficult when trying to supervise more than one child of different ages. Given that the only access to the slides is via an incline which requires adult help for the younger children it then makes it difficult to support other children wanting to push their skills on other equipment in the space. The swings are also an unusual design, with no bucket seat options available for babies and younger children.

Safety: Fully fenced. Ground is wet pour rubber. Shade provided by mature fig trees.
