Have you discovered Etsy yet? As a market place for all things handmade it is a great place to shop for those truly unique and often personalised gifts. Like many families with kids, our house is already overflowing with STUFF and so these days we are less interested in the plastic toy aisles at the local department stores and more keen to find gifts with that extra wow factor; and browsing the handmade options on Etsy always excites me.
For a little inspiration, we have rounded up some of our favourite Etsy gift ideas for kids. Check them out below:

I am a huge fan of dress-ups for encouraging kids to transform into other characters and role play. And I especially love this Gruffalo mask set as it allows kids to become the characters in what are some of my all time favourite children’s books. I also highly recommend checking out the rest of the products from this seller, MummyHughesy. Her super hero capes are awesome and fabulous quality. And her star wars and lego ninjago inspired masks are a lot of fun.
My five year old loves to draw and I just love the idea of surprising him with a plush toy made from one of his drawings. There are lots of sellers on Etsy offering to turn your child’s drawings into a stuffed toy. Be sure to check the shipping costs as many of them are outside of Australia, however i found this one to offer quite reasonable shipping costs.
Make baking together even more special. These aprons make a super fun and practical gift. Gorgeous bright colours and fabulous prints with so many great themes meaning you’re sure to find a theme to excite your little one.
How cute is this guy! Made by a mum of 3 in Victoria, South Australia, this gorgeous crochet amigurumi triceratops would make an adorable gift for the young dinosaur lover.
I love this next idea for a gift from a child to their sibling, or from your child to a grandparent. Turn their artwork into a beautiful necklace pendant.
When I was a kid we used a door frame to record our growth, but then we moved and had to paint over it all. Problem solved with these gorgeous height charts. These are super stylish meaning they can be left on display all year long, or roll them up and bring them out at each birthday to record your child’s growth from year to year.
These mugs can be personalized with your child’s name and would make great stocking stuffers. The mugs are made of unbreakable polymer so great for young kids to enjoy a cup of milo while mum or dad enjoy a cuppa.
Personalised name puzzles make a great gift for a young child and we just love these brightly coloured ones. Great for helping kids learn name recognition and visual spatial skills.
We hope you’ve enjoyed browsing these discoveries as much as we did.
