Have you heard of Advent Activity Cards?
Simply put, they are little cards with a Christmas themed activity on them for the family to do each day throughout December. Ideas like “read a Christmas story” or “take a drive to see Christmas lights”.
We like to add them to our advent calendar in addition to a small treat or toy. But they would work as a stand alone advent calendar too.
We have a cute set of Advent Activity Cards available for free download when you subscribe to receive our newsletter through this link or by clicking on the image below. This set includes 33 pre-filled cards to choose from plus 12 blank cards to fill in your own ideas.
We have found this such a lovely way to promote a greater sense of togetherness during the Christmas Season.
This year I found this gorgeous Advent Calendar at David Jones with pockets perfect for these little cards and a small treat/gift for each child.
And the best thing about these cards is if you only put the next days card in the night before, planning your days will be much simpler, AND … if you know your day is going to be hectic just grab a low prep, minimal time commitment option such as “read a Christmas story”, “Draw a picture for a friend”, or “have a bubble bath by candlelight”!
