At North Shore Kids we are always on the lookout for a playground that ticks all the boxes. The stand out playgrounds with the great play equipment, nice surrounds, fabulous facilities and perhaps even access to coffee for mum and dad. We’ve rounded up our favourites for you here:
Wahroonga Park Playground, Coonanbarra Road, Wahroonga
Wahroonga Park offers a really interesting and innovative range of play equipment offering little bodies plenty of opportunities to extend them selves and develop their gross motor skills. There’s also lots of open green space great for picnics and free play, and a cafe located just across the road. Find out more here
Hallstrom Park, Small Street, Willoughby
Hallstrom Park playground features a turtle dome climber, basket swing, embankment slide, climbing ropes, four swings, fort structure, carousel, see-saw, percussion drums, water play area, and sandpit. There’s also a great bike track and the incinerator cafe located here. More details here
Berry Island, Shirley Road, Wollstonecraft
Berry Island is a beautiful spot that has so much to offer. Along with a fenced playground with a nice variety of play equipment to suit various ages, there is also a big open grassed area for kids to run or kick a ball etc. There is also a bush track that circles around the headland which is a great beginner bush walk for a young family. Willoughby Park Playground, McClelland Street, Willoughby East
Willoughby Park is a fabulous outdoor space with so much to offer. A large fenced playground with a big variety of play equipment, open spaces to run and picnic areas. More details here
Hughes Park, Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove
Hughes Park is a fabulously colourful play space for children in Lane Cove West. It offers some truly unique play equipment, with brightly coloured graphics which simply scream fun for kids. Click here for more info.
Blackman Park, Lloyd Rees Drive, Lane Cove West
Blackman Park is a fabulous spot for a family day out. There are numerous picnic tables and BBQ facilities throughout, along with open fields, a bicycle track and a fabulous kids playground offering a variety of play equipment to suit all ages. More details here.
Clifton Gardens Reserve, Morella Rd, Mosman

Bancroft Park, Bancroft Ave, Roseville
Bancroft Park is a large park with public art and playground, located next to the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre. This is a fabulous playground offering a range a fun play equipment to suit children of all ages. More details here.
Queen Elizabeth Reserve, Bradfield Rd, Lindfield
Queen Elizabeth Reserve has a large fenced playground with a great range of play equipment. Looping paths run throughout making a great track for bikes, trikes and scooters. More deets here.
Turramurra Memorial Park, Eastern Road, Turramurra
Turramurra Memorial Park offers a great fully enclosed playground for younger kids, along with some bigger kid equipment located outside the fenced area. Find out more here
